Hummble started with a simple question I could not shake. How is it that chickpeas, something we have grown up eating in many different ways, never really made it to the centre of our table as a dip? We have happily made space for mayo and chocolate spreads, but not for something that is already so deeply ours. That did not sit right with me. Because if you really think about it, Indian food is built for dipping. From chappathis to dosas, from snacks to full meals, we are always scooping, swiping, and tasting. It just felt like something was missing.

Hummble is my attempt to fill that gap. We took hummus, gave it a distinctly Indian point of view, and built flavours that actually fit in with the way we eat. This is not about importing a trend. It is about reclaiming an ingredient we have always known, and giving it the place it deserves on our table.

Our Mission

Walk into a supermarket in the US or the UAE and hummus sits right there on the shelf, next to peanut butter, next to yogurt, as ordinary and expected as anything else in your weekly grocery list. In India, that same shelf space has never really existed. We want to change that. Chickpeas have always been part of how India eats, in dals, in curries, in snacks we grew up on, so hummus deserves a place in that everyday rotation too. Not as something exotic or occasional, but as a convenient, everyday dip that belongs in every Indian kitchen.

They keep you fuller for longer, support digestion, and fit easily into almost any diet, whether you are vegetarian, vegan, or simply looking to eat a little cleaner.

What makes Hummble hummus different?

Two things set us apart. First, versatility. Hummble is not built to sit in just one corner of your meal. It works as a dip, a spread, a sandwich filler, a wrap base, and a side for everything from dosa to BBQ chicken. Few dips on the market can do that.

Second, the way we make it. Most hummus and many dips rely heavily on oil to get that smooth, rich texture. Hummble takes a different approach. We use a water based emulsion as our base, which means the creaminess you taste comes from the natural blend of chickpeas and water, not from added oil. Once the hummus is made, we top it with a light drizzle of olive oil purely for flavour, not as a structural ingredient. This means you get all the richness and taste you expect from hummus, with significantly less oil and fat overall compared to traditional recipes.

Why flavoured hummus?

Indians love flavour. We rarely settle for bland food, and there's a common misconception that hummus is plain or boring. That couldn't be further from the truth. Hummus on its own is actually a wonderfully neutral, adaptable base, which means it takes on bold flavours beautifully. We built Hummble around that idea, creating flavours like Tandoori, BBQ, Bell Pepper, and Indian Classic so that the hummus itself becomes exciting, not just an accompaniment. Variety is not an afterthought for us. It is the whole point.

How should I store Hummble hummus?

As soon as you receive your order, place it in the fridge. Hummble is a refrigerated product and tastes best when chilled. Once opened, remove the seal completely, and use a clean spoon each time you scoop some out, or dip directly into it if you are eating it right away. Always place it back in the fridge immediately after use to keep it fresh for longer.

What is the shelf life?

Hummble has a shelf life of 100 days from the manufacturing date, as long as it is refrigerated thoroughly and the lid is closed properly after each use.
